What's changed (or maybe it's just more of the same) is that there are WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE in Boulder. I refuse to live there because of it, and instead I live in nearby Broomfield (which has also grown and changed). What else is different? The Crossroads Mall is closing because the new Flatirons Mall in Broomfield has taken all of its business. Foley's exercised first right of refusal to new businesses going into Crossroads and killed it by doing so.

What's hasn't changed is that there are gazillions of miles of trails through open space where you can walk, run, hike, bike and chill. I try to bike every day, and when its too cold to bike I plan to ski. The mountains are so inviting and accessible that every day I wonder why I ever left.

I'm not the only returnee. The guy in the house next to mine graduated one year after me, lived in New Mexico for a decade and just moved back.
